The „36.6” band was founded In 1983 in Armenia. They
play traditional blues and rock’n’roll combined with
Armenian folk. Since 1994 they perform in Poland and
you can see them in pubs and clubs („ Irish Pub”,
„Empik”, „Someplace Else” - Hotel Sheraton) as well
on big stages and exclusive concerts with famous stars
like: Leo Sayer, Gloria Gaynor, The Drifters and polish
bands: De Mono, Lady Pank, Dżem, Czerwone Gitary,
Perfekt.
In 1997 the „36.6” band performed in front of Norwegian
publicity in Geilo and after they come back to Poland
they recorded „Midnight train” album. In 1998 the
band won the semi-final in TVNs show “Zostań Gwiazdą”
(“Become a Superstar”). In 1999 in cooperation with
Neil Grant the “One More Chance” single was recorded.
In 2000 they recorded a new album “Blow Your Cover”
that contains famous 70s and 80s hits. Between 2000
and 2002 they performed over 400 concerts. The “36.6”
band appeared in many shows and celebrations for example
for Polish Television “Sportowiec roku” (“The sportsman
of the year”), for illustrated magazines like “Sukces”
and “Świat elit” and for multinational companies ''Mercedes'',
''Mitsubishi'', ''Toyota'', ''Coca cola'', ''Ikea'',
''Era'' and many others.
In November 2002 they celebrate the decade on polish
stage that effect in new album '' The band 36.6 Alive''.
On the 1st of December they prepared fantastic party
with champagne, cake, lot of excellent music for their
fans and friends. The 2003 year was the year of journey.
They had their first trip to England. The band performed
in Liverpool and Birmingham. That was a great challenge
for the band, that can play in the homeland of rock.
At the end of 2003, in Kris Aiken’s studio the new
album ''Dziewczyna z reklamy'' was recorded. The cooperation
with author of the lyrics and actor Piotr Pręgowski
was joyful and great fun.
In 2004 the “36.6” band was invited for “showcasting”
to England, where signed contracts for November and
December.
